In the 1st quarter of 2024, national airports handled 13.6 million passengers, corresponding to an increase of 5.9% (+10.1% in the 4thQ 2023).

In the same quarter, 51.8 million passengers travelled by train (+17.0%; +16.9% in the 4thQ 2023) and 67.9 million by metro (+5.0%; +12.2% in the 4thQ 2023). 

Passenger transport by inland waterways increased by 8.0% compared with the 1stQ 2023 (+17.9% in the 4thQ 2023), reaching 5.2 million passengers.

Regarding the transport of goods, there were decreases by rail (-6.5%; -2.3% in the previous quarter) and by road (-12.6%; -7.3% in the previous quarter) and increases by air (+13.6%; +8.0% in the 4thQ 2023) and by sea (+2.5%; -2.5% in the 4thQ 2023).
