The second quarter of 2011 reveals a positive trend in terms of passengers carried in air transport mode, compared to the same period last year, highlighting the increase of 15.1% of passengers in national airports, at the same time as they fell by 2.7 % in light railway systems and 2% in heavy railway transport, stabilizing the passengers on inland waterways (+0.1%). Considering the freight transport, in terms of annual changes, stands the dynamism observed in the rail (+7%) and sea (+2%) transport modes, contrasting with the air mode (-2%).
