Summary
In the fourth quarter of 2004 the average value of bank evaluation on housing on the mainland reached €1,209/sq.  meter, which corresponds to a quarterly increase of 0.7%, higher than in the previous quarter (0.2%). The highest average value of bank evaluation on housing occurred in the Algarve Region, corresponding to €1,467/sq. meter. In the Lisboa Metropolitan Area, the average value of bank evaluation on housing dropped by 2.0% from the previous quarter, while in the Porto Metropolitan Area it went up by 0.5%.
