The new orders in construction index presented a year-on-year decrease of 13.9% in the 3rd quarter 2012 (change rate of -50.7% in the 2nd quarter 2012). This less negative behaviour was mainly driven by the increase observed in the sector of Civil Engineering, which moved from a change rate of -67.9% in the 2nd quarter 2012 to 11.1% in the following quarter. The Building Construction index presented a year-on-year change rate of -30.1% in the 3rd quarter 2012 (-35.3% in the previous quarter).
