Note(s):
(1) From January 1st, 2015 came into force a new version of NUTS (NUTS 2013). At NUTS II level was just a name change in "Lisboa" which became known as "Área Metropolitana de Lisboa".
(2) Values for 2016 are provisional.
(3) Includes data from management entities of bulk services and/or retail services. INE made estimates in cases where data was not reported and /or disaggregated by municipalities.
Methodology: in the absence of responses, residual water values were imputed using the values of distributed water as an approximation. Next, it was contemplated the distribution of the value of wastewater drained, by origin, by management entities, using as an approximation a ratio of the total water distributed by management entities to the total water distributed in the considered year. Subsequently, the value of the ratio was multiplied by the values of drained residual water.
