(2) Fom January 1st, 2015 came into force a new version of NUTS (NUTS 2013). At NUTS II level was just a name change in "Lisboa" which became known as "Área Metropolitana de Lisboa".
The analysis of the data for the year 2013 should consider the changes in the territorial boundaries of the municipalities of Lisboa, Loures, Santarém, Golegã, Faro and Loulé, arising from the legislation related to the administrative territorial reorganization of parishes, with entry into force on September 30, 2013.
(3) 2011 to 2016 values were rectified in March 2023, due to additional validation of microdata series. The category "Other" refers to marriages celebrated in religious form before a minister of worship of a church or religious community based in Portugal, which, as from 2007, began to produce civil effects, similar to Catholic marriages (Decree-Law No 324/2007).
(4) From 2007 onwards, when the information of the place of last residence of the household is omitted or ignored, the geographic distribution of the Court of Law or the Registry Office where the divorce was decreed is used.
