The revised definition also reduces the ambiguity of the requirement for "significant" change by comparing both new and improved innovations to the enterprise¿s existing products or processes. The concept of technological innovation, from the previous edition, includes product innovation and part of the current process innovation, in addition to ongoing or abandoned innovation activities (product and / or process). | (2) NUTS II regions in the Typology of regions for Portugal 2020: A - Mainland more developed regions: Área Metropolitana de Lisboa e Algarve; B - Mainland less developed regions: Norte, Centro e Alentejo; C - Outermost regions: Região Autónoma dos Açores e Região Autónoma da Madeira. |
