Note(s):
(1) From January 1st, 2015 came into force a new version of NUTS (NUTS 2013). At NUTS II level was just a name change in "Lisboa" which became known as "Área Metropolitana de Lisboa".
(2) One institution is counted as many times as the education levels it offers. The pre-primary education does not include child and communitarian animation centres as well as the itinerant pre-primary education. The primary education 2nd cycle includes the Mediated Basic Education institutions. The education and training courses are included in the respective level of education. This indicator only comprises data concerning educational institutions under the tutelage of the Ministry of Education.
