  • SURGICAL INTERVENTION:  One or more surgical acts with the same therapeutical and/or diagnostical purpose performed by one or more surgeons in an operating room, during the same session, under general, loco-regional or local anaesthesia, with or without an anaesthetist.
  • REFERENCE PERIOD:  Period to which the information refers and which may be a specific day or a time interval (month, fiscal year, calendar year, among others).
  • HOSPITAL:  Health establishment with both in and out-patient care, and endowed with diagnostic and therapeutical resources, with the purpose of providing the population with healing and rehabilitation medical assistance.
