  • GENERAL FERTILITY RATE:  The ratio of the number of live births during a given period, usually a calendar year, to the average women of child-bearing age (aged 15 to 49) in that period (usually expressed as the number of live births per 1000 (10^3) women of child-bearing age).
  • AGE:  The interval of time between the day, month and year of birth and 0:00 a.m. of the reference date. Age is expressed as complete years for adults and children and months, weeks, days, hours or minutes of life, as appropriate, for infants under one year of age.
