REFERENCE PERIOD: Period to which the information refers and which may be a specific day or a time interval (month, fiscal year, calendar year, among others).

MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE SYSTEM: A set of components with the function of removing, deploying in the field and processing waste produced by the population of 1 or more settlements. A complete waste collection system comprises: placement in the street, collection circuit and transport to landfill, final destination.

URBAN WASTE: Waste for undifferentiated and selective collection that comes from households and/or other sources, when there are similarities in its nature and composition. This includes paper and cardboard, glass, metals, plastics, bio-waste, wood, textiles, packaging, electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators, and other bulky waste such as mattresses and furniture.
