Concepts
  • EARNING:  Regular net amount in cash or in kind paid to the worker over a given reference period, by virtue of time spent working or work supplied during normal and extra working hours. Includes payment of hours paid but not worked (holidays, bank holidays and other paid absences from work).
  • AGE GROUP:  The age interval in years to which a person belongs at the time of reference.
  • REFERENCE PERIOD:  Period to which the information refers and which may be a specific day or a time interval (month, fiscal year, calendar year, among others).
Formule

The average hourly earnings is calculated by: Sum Xh(RBm+SBm+TSm)/ HRm, where m is a generic index defined by intersection of the occupational level variable and sex variable, RB is the total basic remuneration paid to TCO, SB is the total regular bonuses and allowances/grants paid to TCO, TS is the total overtime remuneration paid to TCO, TCO is the number of employees, HR are the monthly hours paid to TCO, Xh is the estimator of the total defined in paragraph 28 of the methodological document Earnings and working hours survey.
