• REFERENCE PERIOD:  Period to which the information refers and which may be a specific day or a time interval (month, fiscal year, calendar year, among others).
• CHILD IN THE FAMILY NUCLEUS:  Condition recognised for a blood child, adopted or stepchild, regardless the age or legal marital status, who usually lives in the classic household of one of his parents and has no spouse, a partner in a consensual union or children of his own in that household.
• EMPLOYED:  Person aged 15 years or over who during the reference period was in one of the following situations: 1) worked for at least one hour for a wage or salary, in cash or in kind; 2) had a formal attachment to his/her job, but was not at work, temporarily; 3) had an enterprise, but was not at work, temporarily, for any specific reason; 4) was in early retirement, but working in the reference period.
• FAMILY NUCLEUS:  Group of two or more persons who belong to the same private household and have a relationship of spouses, partners in a consensual union or parent and descendants, which may correspond to a couple without children, a couple with one or more children, or a parent with one or more children.
