  • INITIAL PARENTAL BENEFIT:  Cash benefit granted to a working mother or father for a period not greater than 120 or 150 consecutive days, depending on parents' joint decision, and whose enjoyment can be shared after birth delivery. This period may be extended by 30 consecutive days in case of sharing of the parental leave, if each parent enjoys, in exclusivity, a period of 30 consecutive days or two periods of 15 consecutive days, after the period of initial parental leave exclusive for the mother. In case of multiple births, these previous mentioned periods are extended by 30 days per live birth beyond the first.
  • PARENTAL BENEFIT:  Cash benefit granted to a working father or mother in the context of parental protection, during the period he or she is unable to work.
