Definition ADOPTION LEAVE: Grants a prospective adoptive mother or father of a child aged less than 15 the right to a leave of absence from work, to be started on the basis of judicial or administrative trust, as set forth in the legislation governing the legal framework for adoption. This leave lasts for 100 consecutive days. In the case of two prospective adoptive parents, the leave may be divided between the two. It will be increased by 30 days per each adopted child in addition to the first. This leave is considered as actual work done, granting the right to an allowance paid by the social security, or a remuneration in the case of civil servants.
