  • WASTEWATER DISPOSAL:  A system comprised of equipments and installations for the collection of sewage and its transport and sometimes treatment in appropriate facilities, so that its release into the receiving environment (water or soil) does not change the environmental conditions beyond the values established as admissible in local standards and according respective national legislation. Thus, as a whole, a wastewater disposal system is mainly composed of the following: collection network, lifting station, interceptor, treatment plant and discharger.
