Concepts
  • HOTEL ESTABLISHMENT:  Tourist development (establishment) with the purpose of providing, on a fee basis, lodging and other accessory or support services, with or without the provision of meals. Hotel establishments can be classified as: hotels, boarding houses, lodging houses, inns, motels and apartment-hotels. For statistical purposes, also included here are tourist villages and tourist apartments.
  • WEBSITE:  A programmed webpage or set of webpages viewed using a browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.). Each webpage has its own www address (e.g., www.organismo.pt), known as a URL (Uniform Resource Locator).
  • PRESENCE ON THE INTERNET:  An organisation's presence on the internet may takedifferent forms: 1) having a website in an outside domain name (e.g.belonging to an economic group, virtual shopping centre, etc., with a URLusing the following formula http://www.economic-groupX.pt/organisation; 2)having a first or second level domain name (e.g. in an internet serviceprovider - ISP), with the following types of URL: http://www.organisation.ptor http://www.organisation.ISP.pt .
