Concepts
  • REFERENCE PERIOD:  The length of time for which data are collected, e.g. a specific day, month or year.
  • GROSS VALUE ADDED:  The value generated by any unit engaged in a production activity corresponding to the balancing item of the production account, which includes output as resource and intermediate consumption as a use, before allowing for the comsumption of fixed capital.
  • FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT EMPLOYMENT:  Full-time equivalent employment is the number of full-time equivalent jobs, defined as total hours worked divided by average annual hours worked in full-time jobs in the economic territory.
  • GROSS VALUE ADDED PER CAPITA:  Indicator that evaluates the average contribution given by each worker to the wealth created by the enterprise, being calculated by dividing the GVA of the entreprise by the number of persons employed in that enterprise.
