COOPSTAT NEWS Nº 17 10 Programa de Capacitação dos Sistemas Estatísticos Nacionais dos PALOP e Timor-Leste (2016/2018) Training Programme for the National Statistical Systems of the Portuguese-speaking African countries and Timor-Leste (2016/2018) No Projeto de Geoinformação , realizou-se entre 11 e 15 de dezembro uma missão de assistência técnica ao INE- Moçambique (INE-MZ). Nesta missão foi feito um ponto de situação relativamente ao estado da informação geográfica neste Instituto, tendo em conta os últimos desenvolvimentos desde a missão anterior (2014) e o trabalho executado para a realização do Censo de 2017. No programa de trabalhos foi priorizada a análise da base de dados geográfica resultante do processo de atualização do Censo 2017 e a produção de mapas e relatórios das diferentes variáveis/indicadores do pré-Censo 2017. Dado que os técnicos do INE-MZ estavam envolvidos no processamento de dados do Censo de 2017, grande parte da missão realizou-se nas instalações criadas para este fim. A condução técnica da ação foi levada a cabo pelo colega Bartholomeus Schoenmakers do Serviço de Georreferenciação. In the Geoinformation project, a technical assistance mission to NSI-Mozambique (NSI-MZ) was held from 11 to 15 December. In this activity, NSI-MZ shared the state of play of the geographical information domain since the previous mission (in 2014), also covering the work that was undertaken for the implementation of the 2017 Census. The work plan prioritised the analysis of the geographic database which resulted from the 2017 Census updating process and the production of maps and reports on the different variables/indicators of the pre- 2017 Census test. Since during the time of the technical mission the staff of NSI-MZ were involved in the data processing for the 2017 Census, a large part of the work was performed in the facilities created for this purpose. This mission was conducted by our colleague Bartholomeus Schoenmakers, from the Georeferencing Unit.
