4 Nota Introdutória Introductory Note A presente edição da COOPSTAT NEWS refere-se ao conjunto de ações de cooperação realizadas entre agosto de 2017 e maio de 2018, contemplando uma nova área de cooperação relativa aos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) da Agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas. Neste âmbito, é dado especial destaque à 2nd Expert Meeting on Statistics for SDGs, na UNECE, em Genebra, na qual participaram também técnicos de todos os INEs da CPLP. Dá-se igualmente destaque à primeira publicação de acompanhamento estatístico da implementação dos ODS a nível nacional, recentemente lançada pelo INE. No contexto da CPLP salienta-se ainda a realização de um Workshop acerca dos Indicadores dos ODS, acolhido pelo INE e promovido pela Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT), bem como uma missão ao INE de Moçambique na área da Geoinformação. No âmbito de programas de cooperação da UE sublinha- se o acolhimento de uma estagiária do INE da Albânia (INSTAT), a realização de uma visita de trabalho do INE da Polónia na área de Business Architecture, o acolhimento de diversas ações na área de Big Data, a participação num evento do MEDSTAT IV e a contribuição do INE para o Desenvolvimento de Elementos Conceptuais para um Quadro Comum de Qualidade no Sistema Estatístico Europeu. The present issue of COOPSTAT NEWS refers to the main statistical cooperation activities carried out between August 2017 and May 2018, including a new area for cooperation related to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. In this context, particular emphasis is given to the 2nd Expert Meeting on Statistics for SDGs (UNECE, Geneva), in which experts from all the National Statistical Institutes (NSIs) of the Portuguese- speaking countries also participated. Emphasis is also placed on the first publication on statistical monitoring of the SDGs implementation at the national level, recently launched by Statistics Portugal. In the framework of the Community of Portuguese- speaking countries (CPLP), there is also aWorkshop on SDG Indicators, hosted by Statistics Portugal and promoted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), as well as a technical assistance mission in Mozambique, in the area of Geoinformation. Within the EU cooperation programmes, the following activities are highlighted: a traineeship within the IPA 2015 Programme (trainee from Albania – INSTAT), a study visit from Statistics Poland in the area of Business Architecture, several activities in the area of Big Data, the participation in a MEDSTAT IV event and the contribution to the Development of Conceptual Elements for a Common Quality Framework in the ESS.
