COOPSTAT NEWS Nº 17 6 Em Foco Highlights A partilha de melhores práticas e experiências foi particularmente útil num domínio em que se revela necessário um esforço global. Os INEs da CPLP, além de contribuírempara o debate, puderam recolher informações e recomendações relevantes para a elaboração do anexo estatístico aos Relatórios Voluntários Nacionais sobre a implementação da Agenda 2030 e para criar plataformas nacionais de dados sobre os ODS. Num convívio paralelo a esta reunião, os participantes da CPLP marcaram presença na celebração dos 100 anos do INE da Polónia. Neste evento, tanto o Presidente deste Instituto, Dominik Rozkrut, como a Diretora da Divisão Estatística da UNECE, Lidia Bratanova, sublinharam a importância das estatísticas oficiais enquanto instrumentos incontornáveis para a decisão baseada em evidências e para o empoderamento da sociedade civil, nomeadamente no contexto da implementação e acompanhamento da Agenda 2030. Esta reunião sobre os ODS não só concluiu o 1º Programa de Capacitação Estatística da CPLP, como também consolidou a importância do acompanhamento estatístico da Agenda 2030 no contexto lusófono. Prevê-se que as ações neste domínio, iniciadas com o Workshop promovido pela OIT em dezembro de 2017, venham a beneficiar de um projeto específico num segundo programa conjunto, confirmando a prioridade atribuída a esta temática por parte de todos os INEs da CPLP. The sharing of best practices and experience was particularly useful in a domain where a global effort is required. The CPLP NSIs, besides contributing to the debate, were able to gather relevant information and recommendations for the preparation of the statistical annexes to the Voluntary National Reviews on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and to set up national data platforms on SDGs. In a parallel event to this meeting, the CPLP participants attended the celebration of the 100 years of Statistics Poland. Both the President of this Institute, Mr. Dominik Rozkrut, and the Director of the UNECE Statistical Division, Ms. Lidia Bratanova, underlined the crucial importance of official statistics for evidence-based decision-making and for the empowerment of civil society, especially in the context of the implementation and follow-up of the 2030 Agenda. This meeting on SDGs not only completed the 1st CPLP Statistical Training Programme, but also consolidated the importance of the 2030 Agenda statistical monitoring in the Portuguese-speaking context. Actions in this area, initiated with the ILO-promoted Workshop in December 2017, are expected to benefit from a specific SDG-project in a 2nd edition of the Programme, confirming the priority accorded to this area by all CPLP NSIs.
