COOPSTAT NEWS Nº 17 9 Programa de Capacitação dos Sistemas Estatísticos Nacionais dos PALOP e Timor-Leste (2016/2018) Training Programme for the National Statistical Systems of the Portuguese-speaking African countries and Timor-Leste (2016/2018) A OIT é uma das agências de custódia no âmbito dos indicadores ODS, razão pela qual esta iniciativa foi de particular interesse para os formandos. As agências de custódia são organizações internacionais responsáveis por indicadoresdalistaglobaldentrodasuaáreadeintervenção, nomeadamente pelos avanços metodológicos necessários e pela respetiva comparabilidade internacional. Os participantes beneficiaram da expertise de formadores da OIT em múltiplas matérias pertinentes e prementes, de elevada utilidade prática para os seus esforços de acompanhamento nacional da Agenda 2030. Para além do input extremamente útil dos formadores, houve também lugar à troca de experiências entre formandos, nomeadamente quanto às estruturas de monitorização nacional implementadas para o acompanhamento e disseminação da informação neste domínio. Este evento materializou transversalmente múltiplas conclusões da última Conferência Estatística da CPLP (São Tomé, junho 2017), uma vez que contribuiu para: a inclusão dos ODS na cooperação estatística lusófona; a componente formativa privilegiada por todos os parceiros; a integração no Programa de uma área particularmente solicitada pelos INE-CPLP (Estatísticas do Mercado de Trabalho); e para a aposta nas sinergias com redes lusófonas e agências parceiras. O Workshop promovido pela OIT-Lisboa foi realizado com o apoio da OIT internacional, do INE, do Ministério do Trabalho, Solidariedade e Segurança Social e do Secretariado Executivo da CPLP, corporizando ele próprio desta forma as “Parcerias para a Implementação dos Objetivos”, preconizadas pelo ODS 17. ILO is one of the custodian agencies within the framework of SDG indicators – this privileged position rendered this initiative particularly interesting for the trainees. Custodian agencies are international organisations responsible for indicators within their area of intervention, namely methodological advancements and international comparability. The participants benefited from the expertise of the ILO trainers in several relevant and up-to- date matters, of great practical use for their monitoring efforts at the national level. Apart from the extremely useful input from the ILO trainers, there was also the opportunity to exchange national experiences regarding the monitoring structures that were being enforced for the follow-up and dissemination of SDG information. This event transversally addressed several of the conclusions of the last CPLP Statistical Conference (São Tomé, June 2017), since it contributed to: including the SDG thematic in the Portuguese-speaking statistical cooperation; promoting the training component, highlighted by all partners; integrating the Labour Market Statistics in the CPLP Training Programme (a frequently requested domain); and investing in synergies with other networks from the Portuguese-speaking world and partner agencies. The Workshop promoted by ILO-Lisbon was supported by ILO international, Statistics Portugal, the Ministry of Employment, Solidarity and Social Security and the CPLP Executive Secretariat, thus effectively embodying the “Partnerships for the Goals” premise stated in SDG 17.
