COOPSTAT NEWS N.º 23 8 Cooperação com os Países de Língua Portuguesa Cooperation with Portuguese-speaking Countries In the first session, the coordination functions performed by the NSIs in their respective NSS were highlighted, with the presentation of the experiences of the NSIs of Angola (INE-AO), Equatorial Guinea (INEGE) and Portugal (INEPT). In this context, their role of technical and scientific supervision of the system was underlined, which includes the prerogative to delegate statistical functions to the relevant entities, ensuring compliance with the standards transversally applicable to official statistics. Additionally, the envisioned broadening of the NSIs’ functions was discussed, namely the progressive reinforcement in themanagement of data fromalternative sources, and the organizational and infrastructural adaptations associated with this paradigm shift. Na primeira sessão, foram destacadas as funções de coordenação desempenhadas pelos INEs nos respetivos SEN, com a apresentação das experiências dos INEs de Angola (INE-AO), Guiné Equatorial (INEGE) e Portugal (INE-PT). Neste contexto, foi sublinhado o seu papel de supervisão técnico-científica do sistema, que contempla a prerrogativa de delegar competências estatísticas nas entidades relevantes, assegurando a observância das normas transversalmente aplicáveis às estatísticas oficiais. Adicionalmente, foi discutido o alargamento que se perspetiva para as funções dos INEs, nomeadamente o progressivo reforço na gestão de dados provenientes de fontes alternativas, e as adaptações organizacionais e infraestruturais associadas a esta alteração de paradigma.
