Santos (NSI-PT) No dia 9 de novembro, o INE acolheu uma visita do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), na área da Geoinformação. O IBGE, representado pelos peritos da Direção de Geociências do Instituto, Diogo Nunes e Rafael Lopes, beneficiou da partilha de informação e troca de experiências relativa ao sistema de informação geográfica do INE e a projetos de âmbito internacional em que o INE participa (ex. INSPIRE, GEOSTAT). A equipa do INE-PT, liderada pela Diretora do Serviço de Geoinformação, Ana Santos, e composta pelos peritos Bartholomeus Schoenmakers, Francisco Caldeira e Rossano Figueiredo, destacou a componente infraestrutural associada à georreferenciação implementada para a produção de estatísticas oficiais, sublinhando alguns desenvolvimentos decorrentes da crescente integração de informação estatística com informação geoespacial. O intercâmbio entre as duas instituições foi muito positivo, tendo sido reiterada a disponibilidade para continuar a boa cooperação neste domínio. On November 9th, INE hosted a visit from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), in the area of Geoinformation. IBGE, represented by experts from the Institute’s Geosciences Directorate, Diogo Nunes and Rafael Lopes, benefited from the sharing of information and exchange of experiences regarding Statistics Portugal’s geographic information system and international projects in which Statistics Portugal participates (e.g. INSPIRE, GEOSTAT). Statistics Portugal’s team, led by the Head of the Geoinformation Unit, Ana Santos, and composed of experts Bartholomeus Schoenmakers, Francisco Caldeira and Rossano Figueiredo, highlighted the infrastructural component associated with georeferencing implemented to produce official statistics, underlining some developments arising from the increasing integration of statistical information with geospatial information. The exchange between the two institutions was very positive, and the availability to continue the good cooperation in this field was reiterated.
