Ao abrigo da cooperação bilateral, o INE de Portugal acolheu, de 2 a 4 de abril de 2024, uma Visita de trabalho no âmbito das atividades preparatórias para o Recenseamento Geral de Habitação e População de São Tomé e Príncipe. Esta visita multidisciplinar incidiu nas áreas de: coordenação e acompanhamento do Censo; administração, finanças e logística; e no tratamento e recolha de dados. A delegação de São Tomé e Príncipe foi representada ao mais alto nível, pelo seu Presidente, Gueitt D’Almeida, e pelos coordenadores das dimensões Financeira e Informática da operação censitária, Milcíades Ferreira (Diretor do Planeamento, Administração e Cooperação) e Ivando Ceita (Chefe de Departamento Informático). Durante a visita, a delegação santomense foi acolhida pelo Conselho Diretivo do INE de Portugal (Francisco Lima, The focal point of NSI-CV, Danilton Tavares, reiterated his gratitude for the availability shown by NSI-PT, reflecting the long-standing cooperation in the field of classifications, which is expected to continue, with further support to be defined in due course. O ponto focal do INE-CV, Danilton Tavares, reiterou o seu agradecimento pela disponibilidade demonstrada pelo INE-PT, reflexo da cooperação de longa data em matéria de classificações, que se prevê que tenha continuidade, em moldes a definir oportunamente. Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Statistics Portugal hosted, from 2 to 4 April 2024, a working visit as part of the preparatory activities for the General Census of Housing and Population of Sao Tome and Principe. This multidisciplinary visit focused on the areas of: coordination and monitoring of the Census; administration, finance and logistics; and in data processing and collection. The delegation of Sao Tome and Principe was represented at the highest level, by its President, Gueitt D’Almeida, and by the coordinators of the Financial and IT dimensions of the census operation, Milcíades Ferreira (Director of Planning, Administration and Cooperation) and Ivando Ceita (Head of the IT Department).
