COOPSTAT NEWS N.º 25 4 Bem-vindos à mais recente edição da newsletter COOPSTAT. Este número refere-se ao conjunto de ações de cooperação internacional realizadas entre janeiro e julho de 2024. São contempladas várias ações bilaterais e multilaterais, tais como as desenvolvidas no âmbito do Programa Estatístico da Comunidade de Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP), bem como no quadro da União Europeia, com especial destaque para a 11ª Conferência Europeia da Qualidade em Estatísticas Oficiais (Q2024), e ainda atividades com países terceiros. No contexto lusófono, a nível bilateral, destacam-se as atividades de cooperação com os parceiros de Angola, Cabo Verde e São Tomé e Príncipe nas áreas de modernização e utilização de dados administrativos para fins estatísticos, bem como nas áreas de Classificações, Censos, Migração e Geoinformação. No quadro multilateral, sublinhamse as ações ao abrigo do Programa Estatístico da CPLP, nos domínios de Comunicação, Coordenação Estatística, Qualidade, Conceitos e Legislação. No quadro europeu, merece particular destaque a realização bem-sucedida da 11ª Conferência Europeia da Qualidade em Estatísticas Oficiais (Q2024), registandose ainda o acolhimento de visita de trabalho da Turquia, na área de indicadores de Proteção Social, ao abrigo da cooperação com países candidatos à União Europeia. Na cooperação com os países terceiros, regista-se uma visita de trabalho do Egito, na área de gestão e recolha de dados. No quadro internacional, sublinham-se os encontros realizados ao abrigo da iniciativa “Communication Fortnights” levada a cabo no âmbito da Task Team on Communication of Statistics for SDGs, integrada no Steering Group on Statistics for SDGs, da UNECE. Welcome to the latest edition of the COOPSTAT newsletter. This number refers to the set of international cooperation activities carried out between January and July 2024. Several bilateral and multilateral actions are contemplated, such as those developed under the Statistical Training Programme of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP), as well as within the framework of the European Union, with special emphasis on the 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics 2024 (Q2024), and also activities developed with third countries. In the Portuguese-speaking context, bilateral cooperation activities with partners in Angola, Cabo Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe stand out in the areas of modernisation and use of administrative data for statistical purposes, as well as in the areas of Classifications, Census, Migration and Geoinformation. In the multilateral framework, activities under the CPLP Statistical Training Programme are highlighted in the fields of Communication, Statistical Coordination, Quality, Concepts, and Legislation. In the European context, the successful holding of the 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics (Q2024) is particularly noteworthy. A study visit from Turkey was also welcomed in the area of Social Protection indicators, under the cooperation with EU Candidate countries. Within the framework of cooperation with third countries, a study visit from Egypt is highlighted, in the area of data management and collection. In the international context, the focus is on the meetings held under the “Communication Fortnights” initiative carried out by the Task Team on Communication of Statistics for SDGs, integrated in the UNECE’s Steering Group on Statistics for SDGs.
