86 | Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável | Sustainable Development Goals Indicador 3.9.2.Taxa de mortalidade atribuída a fontes de água insalubre e a condições de saneamento e de higiene deficientes ou inexistentes (acesso inadequado a serviços de saneamento de águas residuais) Em 2017, morreram em Portugal 265 pessoas devido a fontes de água insalubre ou a condições de saneamento e de higiene deficientes ou inexistentes (acesso inadequado a serviços de saneamento de águas residuais), oquecorrespondeauma taxabruta de mortalidade de 2,6 por 100 mil habitantes, inferior à registada no ano anterior (2,9 por 100mil em2016). No período em análise, 2010 foi o ano em que se registoua taxamais baixa (1,1por 100mil habitantes). A taxa de mortalidade por estas causas foi mais elevada para as mulheres, com um valor máximo em 2013. Por outro lado, esta taxa de mortalidade aumentava com a idade, em especial no grupo dos 85 e mais anos. In 2017, there were 265 deaths in Portugal attributable to unsafe water, unsafe sanitation and lack of hygiene, corresponding to a crude mortality rate of 2.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, lower than in the previous year (2.9 per 100,000 in 2016). In the period under review, 2010 was the year with the lowest rate (1.1 per 100,000 inhabitants). The crude mortality rate from these causes was higher for women, with the maximum in 2013. On the other hand, this mortality rate increased with age, especially for those aged 85 years old and over.
