Em Portugal e em Espanha havia, no mesmo ano, percentagens mais elevadas de população nestas condições: 23,3% e 26,6%, respetivamente. No âmbito da UE, o valor mais alto registou-se na Bulgária (38,9%) e o mais baixo na República Checa (12,2%). No que respeita à população jovem (15-29 anos), os países ibéricos registaram valores de pobreza ou exclusão social ainda mais elevados: 35,2% em Espanha e 27,5% em Portugal. Condições de Vida Condiciones de Vida Living Conditions POBLACIÓN EN RIESGO DE POBREZA O EXCLUSIÓN SOCIAL En 2017, el 22,5 % de la población de la Unión Europea se encontraba en riesgo de pobreza o exclusión social. En Portugal y España, en el mismo año, hubo porcentajes más altos de población en estas condiciones: 23,3% y 26,6%, respectivamente. Dentro de la UE, la cifra más alta se registró en Bulgaria (38,9%) y la más baja, en la República Checa (12,2%). En cuanto a la población joven (15-29 años), los países ibéricos registraron niveles aún más altos de pobreza o exclusión social: 35,2% en España y 27,5% en Portugal. POPULATION AT RISK OF POVERTY OR SOCIAL EXCLUSION In 2017, 22.5% of the EU population was at risk of poverty or social exclusion. In the same year, there were higher figures in Portugal and in Spain: 23.3% and 26.6% respectively. In the European Union, the highest figure came from Bulgaria (38.9%) and the lowest from the Czech Republic (12.2%). There were even higher figures recorded in the two Iberian countries in terms of the risk of poverty or social exclusion when considering younger population (aged 15 to 29). In Spain it stood at 35.2%, while in Portugal the value was 27.5%.
