2018 em números en cifras in figures PENÍNSULA IBÉRICA THE IBERIAN PENINSULA [72] Índice Contenido Index Agricultura e Pescas Agricultura y Pescas Agriculture and Fisheries CAPTURAS DE PEIXE A Espanha capturou, em 2017, 902,2 mil toneladas de peixe, valor só superado, no contexto da União Europeia, pelo da Dinamarca e que corresponde a 18,4% do total de pescas registadas por países da UE. Portugal ficou muito aquém, com 173,6 mil toneladas (3,6%). POPULAÇÃO EMPREGADA EM AGRICULTURA, SILVICULTURA E PESCAS Ambos os países ibéricos têm uma percentagem reduzida da sua população empregada a trabalhar no setor “Agricultura, silvicultura e pescas”. Em 2017, os valores registados foram de 4,0% em Portugal e 4,3% em Espanha. O valor mais elevado para este indicador na União Europeia ocorreu na Roménia (20,3%) e o mais baixo no Luxemburgo (0,9%). FISH CATCHES In 2017, the total fish caught by Spanish vessels was 902.2 thousand tonnes, a value only surpassed within the EU by Denmark (18.4% of the total for the EU) and well above the 173.6 thousand tonnes of fish caught by Portugal (3.6% of the EU total). EMPLOYMENT IN AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES In 2017, there was a low percentage of employed population in the Agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector in both Iberian countries: 4.0% in Portugal and 4.3% in Spain. The highest figure for this indicator in the European Union was recorded in Romania (20.3%) and the lowest in Luxembourg (0.9%). CAPTURAS PESQUERAS En 2017, España capturó 902,2 mil toneladas de pescado, cifra sólo superada en la Unión Europea por la de Dinamarca, que corresponde al 18,4% del total de las pesquerías registradas por los países de la UE. Portugal se quedó muy atrás, con 173 600 toneladas (3,6%). EL EMPLEO EN AGRICULTURA, SILVICULTURA Y PESCA Ambos países ibéricos tienen un pequeño porcentaje de su población ocupada en el sector “Agricultura, silvicultura y pesca”. En 2017, los valores registrados fueron del 4,0% en Portugal y del 4,3% en España. La cifra más alta de este indicador en la Unión Europea se registró en Rumanía (20,3%) y la más baja en Luxemburgo (0,9%).
