Em 2018, a percentagem mais baixa de população empregada neste setor registou-se na Roménia (49,2%) e a mais elevada no Chipre: 81,4%. A Espanha (75,4%) estava acima do valor para a UE 28 (71,4%) e Portugal situava-se abaixo (70,5%).
