The unemployment rate (population aged 15 to 74) in April 2020 stood at 6.3% (+0.1 percentage points (p.p.) than in the previous month and -0.3 p.p. compared to April 2019). The employment rate in April 2020 reached 61.1% (-0.8 p.p. compared to the previous month and -1.2 p.p. compared to the same month of 2019). Compared to March 2020: • The unemployed population increased by 0.5% and the employed population decreased by 1.3%; • The active population decreased by 59,300 people (1.2%) and the inactive population increased by 59,900 people (2.3%).
