Statistics Portugal (INE) has negotiated special prices with some hotels (see hereinafter table).
Mundial Hotel was the only one that accepted to block (30) rooms up to June 15 (booking deadline for these rooms).
Booking at all the other hotels (or at Mundial after June 15) depends on available rooms.Booking at these or other hotels is urgent because October is high «congress season» in Lisbon.

Transportation
From Airport to
City Centre
Lisbon airport is not far from the city centre (around 10 kilometres).
Bus, Metro and taxi stops are, as usual, located outside Arrivals.
Bus
A frequent bus service called AERO Bus (Route 91) operates between Lisbon Airport and the city centre. The fare (payable to driver) is 1,80 euros and the drive takes around 30 minutes.

Subway (Metro)
Available to city centre.
From airport to the majority of the recommended Hotels: Red line, direction S. Sebastião. At S. Sebastião station change to Blue Line, direction Sta. Apolónia.Mundial Hotel is the only exception: Red line, direction S. Sebastião. Change at Alameda Station to Green Line, direction Cais do Sodré. Exit at Martim Moniz Station.

Buses and
Trams
Carris is the bus operator in Lisboa. The network has 88 routes. On-board fare: 1, 80 Euros.
There are Metro/Carris combined fares. These fares are valid on both, the Metropolitano de Lisboa network and the Carris (buses, streetcars and elevators) network.
Charged tickets on «7 Colinas / Viva Viagem» cards: 1 day Carris/Metro network ticket 6,00 Euros; valid for an unlimited number of trips on all the Carris and Metro networks, for a period of 24 hours, after the first entry validation.
