Summary
In September, nominal year-on-year change rate of the Industry Turnover Index was 2.1% (5.6% in the previous month). This deceleration was determined by the reduction observed in the domestic market, with the year-on-year change rate moving from 2.9% in August to -3.5% in September. External market sales rose 12.1% (10.9% in the previous month). In the 3rd quarter 2011 the year-on-year change rate was 3.5% (6.8% in the previous quarter).
Also in year-on-year terms, employment and hours worked, adjusted for calendar effects decreased by 1.4% and 1.5%, respectively, while wages and salaries presented a slight increase of 0.1%.
