Summary
Early estimates on May 31 point to a reduction in productivity on cherry and peach orchards (-5%), affected by low temperatures and an excess of rainfall during the flowering/pollination stage. Soil flooding conditions also limited the yield increases on winter cereals, where only for rye and barley are expected yields higher than the average of the last five years (+5% and +15%, respectively). Regarding the spring crop areas, it is expected an increase on maize and irrigated potato (+5%), the maintenance on processed tomato and rice, and a decrease on sunflower (-10%) and rainfed maize (-5%).
