Summary
Early estimates on January 31 point to the maintenance of winter cereals surface (vis-à-vis the previous year), without major problems in sowings and with the cold weather supporting the rooting and tillering. As regards olive for oil, there is an estimated decrease of 20% towards the last olive oil season, due to plant health problems in the current campaign which affected particularly the traditional olive groves. The quality of the oil is estimated to be lower than usual.
