The median value of bank appraisals on housing reached €1,212 per square meter in May, €12 more than in the previous month. On a year-on-year basis, the rate of change increased to 8.8% (8.0% in April). It should be noticed that the number of bank appraisals reported rose to around 31 thousand in the current period, 66% more than reported in the same period of the previous year. It should be noticed that in May 2020 there had been a significant reduction in the number of appraisals as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
