New orders in industry continue to be negative

Summary
In January 2005 new orders received by industrial firms declined by 1.0% vis-à-vis the same period in the previous year, as a result of the fall observed in both the domestic and external markets. In spite of this negative change, it recovered by 4.8 percentage points (p.p.) from the quarter ending in December.
