Summary
In January overnight stays in hotels rose by 4.8% year-on-year. This increase was chiefly due to overnight stays by non-residents, which grew by 7.9% from January 2004. Total income and income from hotel occupancy also increased by 2.0% and 4.3% respectively, when compared with the same period a year earlier.
