In the second quarter of 2006 the average value of bank evaluation on housing in the mainland reached €1,224/sq.meter, which corresponds to a quarterly decline of 0.04%. The highest average value of bank evaluation on housing continues to be seen in the Algarve Region, and was €1,519/sq.meter. In the Lisboa Metropolitan Area, the average value of bank evaluation declined by 1.9% from the previous quarter, whereas in the Porto Metropolitan Area it dropped by 2.3%.
