Summary
On 31 March early estimates point to the maintenance of the unfavourable weather scenario. Rainfalls did not reverse the draught situation, because, on the one hand, it did not change the water supply levels and, on the other hand, it did not significantly favour crops in the field. Therefore, forecasts point to sharp falls in winter cereals yield and a reduction in the surface cultivated with potatoes. Should this scenario persist, the irrigation season will be more and more compromised.
