In the fourth quarter of 2005 the average value of bank evaluation on housing in the mainland reached €1.237/sq.meter, which corresponds to a slight quarterly increase of 0.4%. The higher average value of bank evaluation on housing occurred in the Algarve Region: €1.487/sq.meter. In the Lisboa Metropolitan Area, the average value of bank evaluation declined by 0.4% from the previous quarter, while in the Porto Metropolitan Area it rose by 0.4%.
