Summary
In June 2009, hotel activity registered 3.6 million of overnight stays, accounting for a year-on-year downturn of 1.6%, compared with June 2008.  Non residents mainly contributed for this reduction (-10.2%), since residents had a significant increase (+18.4%), partly due to the consecutive national holidays which occurred in June 2009.
Total income from hotel activity reached 170.2 million euros and income from hotel occupancy 115.6 million euros, both corresponding to decreases of 8% and 7.4%, respectively.
