Summary
In August 2009, hotel activity registered 5.4 million of overnight stays, accounting for a year-on-year downturn of 3.5%, compared with August 2008. For this results mainly contributed non residents with a downturn of 9.7%, while residents rose 6.1%.
Total income from hotel activity reached 259.4 million euros and income from hotel occupancy 192 million euros, both corresponding to decreases of 6% and 5.4%, respectively.
