Cooperação com Cabo Verde
Cooperation with Cape Verde
In the framework of bilateral statistical
cooperation with Cape Verde, there were
two study visits, namely:

From the 27 to 31 May, 2013, it took place a
study visit from NSI-Cape Verde on Household
Expenses and Income Survey which aimed at
resuming the action that had been held in 2012 in
the same area. This action had the participation
of the following experts from Cape Verde: Mr.
José Maria de Pina, Mr. Carlos Mendes, Mr.
Adilson Correia and Ms. Noemi Rute Ramos. It
also had the technical assistance of the
Methodology and Information Systems and of the
Demographic and Social Statistics Departments
of Statistics Portugal. The purpose of this visit was
accomplished and the experts have acquired a
crosscutting perspective on the matter, having
the possibility to communicate with Portuguese
experts fromseveral units and departments.

On the 31 of May, 2013, there was also a study
visit from the Bank of Cape Verde on National
Accounts. This visit counted with the
participation of Ms. Sara Santos, representing
the Bank of Cape Verde and with the technical
support of Ms. Maria João David, from the
National Accounts Department of Statistics
Portugal.
Apart from the actions undertaken at a bilateral
level, NSI-Cape Verde also had a strong presence
on the multilateral level, specially in the Training
Programme of the National Statistical Systems of
the Portuguese-speaking African Countries and
Timor-Leste, where it participated in several
actions concerning CPI and Short-term indicators
as well as Geoinformation and, in a joint way, on
Economic Statistics andNomenclatures.
