Tendo em conta a pretensão do INE em ter uma
Unidade de Investigação, visando a elaboração de
alguns estudos importantes para o país, estamos
certos de que a experiência portuguesa será
enriquecedora.
NSI-Cape Verde has identified in its National Strategy
for the Development of Statistics 2012-2016 the
production of a series of short-term indicators, as well
as the implementation of the Household Expenses and
Income Survey, the changing of the year of reference
on CPI, and the new basket and weighting structure as
strategic fields of action.
Considering Statistics Portugal large experience on
these matters, and the fact that it has recently
implemented these operations, it is fundamental for
NSI-Cape Verde to continue to reinforce cooperation
with Statistics Portugal, based on the certitude that,
due to the existing relations, we will have a friendly
acceptance.
Therefore, in that context, experts from NSI-Cape
Verde have recently visited Statistics Portugal in order
to better understand its experience on the preparation
and implementation of the Household Expenses and
Income Survey in which, taking into account the
evaluation of the mission, the results have surpassed
expectations. The same happened with short-term
indicators, since the continuation and the further
strengthening of this relation will allow us to achieve
relevant results in thementioned operation.
Besides that, and since NSI-Cape Verde intends to have
a researching unit which will aim to the conduction of
some important studies for the country, we are certain
that the Portuguese experiencewill be enriching.
Como avalia até agora a implementação do
Programa de Capacitação dos Sistemas Estatísticos
Nacionais dos PALOP e Timor-Leste? Qual considera
ser o impacto deste Programa para o INE de Cabo
Verde?
How do you evaluate the current implementation of
the Training Programme of the National Statistical
Systems of the Portuguese-speaking African
Countries and Timor-Leste? What do you consider to
be the impact of this Programme for NSI-Cape
Verde?
O INE de Cabo Verde considera positiva a
implementação do Programa de Capacitação dos
Sistemas Estatísticos Nacionais dos PALOP e Timor-
Leste, na medida que é um programa definido pelos
INEs e com base nas suas necessidades. No caso
concreto de Cabo Verde conseguimos, no âmbito deste
programa, dar os primeiros passos com vista a futura
produção de um índice turístico, importante para o
país; demos passos significativos na consolidação do
índice de produção industrial, do índice de volume de
negócios dos serviços, entre outras operações. Para
além disso, convém salientar as perspetivas para o IPC,
em que podemos destacar o desenvolvimento de uma
aplicação informática, pelo INE de Cabo Verde, para a
recolha de dados no futuro utilizando o PDA e que
poderá ser utilizado pelos outros países contemplados
pelo programa.
Também destacaria as ações realizadas ao nível da
georreferenciação, que permitem ao INE automatizar
alguns processos, comganhos em termos de eficiência.
Pelo exposto facilmente se depreende que o impacto
temsido positivopara o INE de CaboVerde.
NSI-Cape Verde considers the implementation of the

Timor-Leste as a positive measure, being a programme
defined by the NSIs and based on their needs. In what
